According to the latest AA Ireland survey, petrol prices have risen by two cents, averaging €1.73 per litre, while diesel prices are up by one cent to €1.67 per litre. Interestingly, crude oil prices have dipped slightly, with an average of $72 per barrel. For electric vehicle (EV) owners, the annual cost to cover an average of 17,000 km is now estimated at €808.64.

Jennifer Kilduff, Head of Marketing & PR at AA Ireland, noted, “It’s great news for EV drivers as Electric Ireland’s reductions took effect from November 1st. By shopping around for the best energy rates, utilizing home charging where possible, and taking advantage of night rates, EV drivers can further lower their running costs.

“For petrol and diesel drivers, pump prices are slightly higher this month, largely due to variations in pricing across retailers nationwide.”
