Corrib Oil, an energy company and service station, has agreed to become Wendy's franchise partner in Ireland. Corrib intends to open ten Wendy's locations nationwide between 2025 and 2027.

A combination of freestanding Wendy's restaurants and new Wendy's options at current Corrib service station locations will make up the first site locations, which will be revealed in the new year.

Early in 2025, a hiring push will begin for the 300 new positions. Wendy's is well-known for their custom-made square hamburgers, salads and chicken.

The company stated that it expects to source products locally whenever feasible and that the beef served in its Irish restaurants will be 100% Irish sourced and certified.

Wendy's has more than 7,200 locations, more than 1,200 of which are outside of the United States, and its headquarters are in Dublin, Ohio.

Corrib and Ireland are ideal for the brand, according to EJ Wunsch, President, International, of The Wendy's Company. Mr. Wunsch stated, "Ireland is a great market for long-term growth for Wendy's."

"With a proven track record of outstanding operations and a significant growth history, we are confident that Corrib Oil is the right partner to drive Wendy’s expansion in Ireland," he stated. Currently, Corrib Oil runs 38 forecourt convenience stores in 17 counties.

Together with its energy segment, which operates 18 terminals nationwide, Corrib now employs 1,150 people; as part of the first phase of its Wendy's agreement, that number will rise to 1,450.

"This partnership unites two companies that are dedicated to quality, community, and a remarkable customer experience," Corrib Oil CEO Eugene Dalton stated.

"The opportunity to bring such a globally recognised brand as Wendy’s to Ireland offers a new food experience for Irish customers," Mr. Dalton stated.
