SLP employs around fifty individuals in the community throughout Sligo Town and county, and 300 people are enrolled in job projects.
It was established in 1994 to help Sligo's underprivileged rural towns and districts.
According to SLP CEO John Feerick, the partnership's goal is to give communities the essential services.
"We will always put the individual needs of our clients first and we aim to enhance the lives of the people of Sligo with all of the programmes that we administer," he stated.
One of the partnership's distinctive features, according to SLP Chair Dr. Amanda McCloat, is how they use several programs as wrap-around supports.

"We have a great team of people who work closely with our communities, and this is something we value very highly," said Dr. McCloat.
SLP runs day centres for the elderly, integration supports, and programming including LEADER, SICAP, Tús, Next Move, RSS, and WorkAbility.
Playground upgrades, digital literacy for individuals and companies, charitable organisations and neighbourhood associations, family resource assistance, leisure pursuits, first responder organisations, Men's Shed organisations, and child care services are a few of the community projects that SLP supports.
The celebration taking place today at Sligo's Clayton Hotel will commemorate the Rural Social Scheme's 20 years of helping farmers and other rural residents.
