On Lisburn Road, the chain intends to establish a new outlet. Plans to occupy the old Deanes and Decano location, originally owned by restaurateur Michael Deane, have been submitted.
Greggs has been hiring additional employees for the store, including a position as a shop supervisor.
Additionally, it is assuming a unit on York Street in the city's new student housing complex, which is located on the ground level.
The company, which now has 17 locations here, is also occupying one of the brand-new food units being built at the Saintfield Road centre.
Along with the US chicken company Popeyes, it will be housed in a new food court that is now under construction.
Since the Belfast Telegraph initially reported in 2016 that the UK-based brand was opening a store here, with plans to open up to 50 outlets, Greggs has significantly increased in size.
Planning permission was recently granted to the business so that it might establish its first drive-thru in Northern Ireland.
The newest Greggs location in this area will be found in Craigavon's Marlborough Retail Park in County Armagh.
