This is the first store for the company in County Wicklow. Situated on one floor of the Bray Central shopping area, the new store will have 19,600 square feet of retail space.

A major milestone for Penneys is building the first store in a new county, according to Fintan Costello, Head of Penneys Ireland and Northern Ireland.

With the addition of Bray, Penneys now has 38 stores spread over 21 counties in the Republic of Ireland, marking the 55th anniversary of the company's founding on Mary St. in Dublin this summer.

With more than 440 locations throughout Europe and the US, Penneys is a global retailer that operates under the name Primark.

Primark has pledged to invest over €250 million in Ireland over a ten-year period, which involves building, moving and/or renovating its existing stores throughout the nation. The new store in Bray is a part of this promise.
