The organisation in charge of carrying out the government's National Broadband Plan (NBP) is NBI.
According to the report, the number of early completions includes 32,000 properties that were added to NBI's work schedule for this year from 2026.
Up to nine months earlier than expected, the 65,000 residences and companies that are part of the relocation will be able to connect to NBI's network.
As a wholesale network operator, NBI facilitates services through one of the over 70 participating broadband providers rather than selling fibre broadband directly to end consumers.
With more than 110,043 locations currently linked to the NBI network, the organisation has so far made high-speed fibre broadband available to 320,829 locations. Every month, more than 4,500 new locations join the network.
"The huge progress that was made on the rollout in 2024 means we can deliver high speed broadband to more homes and businesses earlier this year and leaves us in a strong position to complete our rollout on time and on budget," Peter Hendrick, CEO of National internet Ireland, said.
