On August 26, a new schedule went into effect to allow for more Intercity trains and an hourly train service between Belfast and Dublin.

However, the schedule was altered two weeks later in response to commuters' unfavourable comments. But this didn't make the issues go away.

Iarnród Éireann discontinued the timetable after receiving several complaints about the severe disruption it caused to commuters.

On Tuesday, a new schedule that was almost identical to the one that was in place prior to the August modifications went into effect.

The increased services between Belfast and Dublin are one modification that has been maintained.

According to Iarnród Éireann, this will result in a few minor adjustments and somewhat longer travel times along that route.

Trains heading south of Dublin were experiencing delays of four to six minutes, according to the Connolly Station train time display board.

Numerous issues were encountered by commuters coming into the city from the northside.

On the train from Malahide to Connolly, commuters expressed optimism that returning to the previous schedule would benefit them.
