Over the 12 months leading up to August 2024, the sharpest price increases were observed in restaurants and hotels, which saw a 4.5 percent rise, largely driven by higher costs for alcoholic beverages and food in licensed venues.

Meanwhile, clothing and footwear experienced the steepest annual decline, dropping by 6.2 percent.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged up by 0.1 percent, with the most notable increase in clothing and footwear, which rose by 2.8 percent.
