The zoo said that the happy new baby was delivered to seasoned mother Neja.

The adorable animal can be seen in photos taken at the zoo with her elder siblings Ballycarrie and Ballyarchie. According to the zoo, the three of them have already developed a close relationship.

Alyn Cairns, manager of the zoo, shared his enthusiasm at the new calf, saying, "Since 1988, we have welcomed 39 young giraffes into the world.

It is an honour for us to collaborate with zoos all over the world and to be a part of a European breeding project. Our ability to successfully breed contributes to the assurance of a stable population of this endangered subspecies.

The public will have the opportunity to name the new youngster, following the zoo's custom of naming all giraffe calves born after cities and villages that start with the letter Bally.

The people can vote on Ballycassidy, Ballyshannon, and Ballylinney in this instance.

Voting ends on Friday, August 30 at 4 p.m., and the public can leave comments on the zoo's Facebook post to select their preferred name from the list of possibilities.
