HomeToGo, the world’s largest holiday rental marketplace, and Lovehoney, the UK’s leading sexual wellness brand, collaborated to unveil a list of the world’s 100 sexiest beaches.

These beaches, known for their solitude, stunning sunsets, and romantic appeal, are highlighted as perfect retreats for couples seeking a passionate getaway.

The guide spans more than 30 countries across six continents and provides inspiration for both short getaways and long-haul adventures for romantic travellers. It also offers packing tips to ensure a stress-free and enjoyable holiday.

The rankings were determined by evaluating beaches across six categories: solitude, number of romantic restaurants, heat, popularity with couples, swoon-worthy sunsets, and inclusivity.

Topping the list is Cable Beach in Kimberley, Australia, which scored 53.2 out of 60 points, noted for its seclusion, sunny atmosphere, and breathtaking sunsets. Other notable long-haul destinations in the top 10 include Brazil’s Baia do Sancho (3rd), Cuba’s Playa Varadero (5th), and India’s Agonda Beach (6th).

In Europe, Italy’s Spiaggia di Maria Pia took 2nd place, with Spain’s Playa de Ses Illetes in the Balearic Islands and Portugal’s Praia do Camilo in the Algarve coming in 4th and 8th, respectively.

Derrynane Beach secured 87th place with a score of 42 out of 60, receiving high marks for its peacefulness and lack of crowds.

This picturesque spot in County Kerry is celebrated for its natural beauty and historical significance. The beach boasts clear waters and soft, golden sand, ideal for relaxing and swimming, and the surrounding landscape provides breathtaking views for couples to enjoy together.

The area also features beautiful nature trails for hiking and several ancient ruins to explore, including Derrynane House, the ancestral home of 19th-century political leader Daniel O’Connell.
