Two technological technologies developed and manufactured by the Irish space engineering firm Réaltra will be used by the Ariane 6.

Réaltra, an Irish word for 'galaxy', developed a system for video capture and transmission that will deliver real-time high-definition photos throughout the expedition.

The launch is scheduled to be the first flight and an Ariane 6 demonstration.

The rocket is expected to be another step towards European space research independence and be utilised for a variety of space missions over the following ten years.

It seeks to launch many satellites, deployers, and experiments from businesses, universities, research centres, and space agencies.

The European Space Agency stated that “as the world’s second-largest economy, Europe must ensure it has secure and autonomous access to space, so it does not depend on the capabilities and priorities of other nations.”

“In a world where everyday life from connectivity to navigation, climate, and weather relies on space, the ability to launch independently is more important than ever before,” it stated.

The initiative comprised 13 nations in all, Ireland included.
