The last pre-season friendly of the summer for Manchester United is taking place on August 6th against Spanish side Atletico Bilbao in the Aviva Stadium. This is United’s first game in Dublin since 2017 where Mourinho’s side beat Sampdoria 2-1.

As the match takes place a week from the start of the Premier League, it is extremely important for the players and Man Utd’s manager Erik Ten Haag to compile a starting line-up for the season ahead with also players’ fitness in mind and potential new signings to get a chance to become comfortable in the squad.

The stadium will no doubt be at full capacity since Manchester United arguably holds the largest fanbase in Ireland alongside their bitter rivals Liverpool.

It will be a match that the fans won’t want to miss as it's rare to see Manchester United and one of Spain’s biggest sides Bilbao compete in Dublin.
