Galgorm Collection has announced a 20-million-pound investment at its Roe Valley Resort in Limavady, aiming to make the 150-acre estate "the ultimate escape for families”. The first phase of the investment, worth 5 million pounds, will introduce a series of new attractions targeted at younger visitors, including a giant helter-skelter, soft play area, kids' park, arcade, and pool slides. These additions, set to launch in June, will be open to both hotel guests and visitors.
This investment marks a shift for Galgorm Collection, which traditionally caters to adult guests with offerings like its renowned spa services at Galgorm Resort & Spa and The Old Inn in Crawfordsburn. In June, the resort will also welcome the Fratelli Italian restaurant, already popular at other locations, to Roe Valley, adding a culinary experience for families to enjoy.
The second phase of the investment will focus on enhancing the adult experience with the opening of a “stunning new bar” and an adult-only spa, set to launch in time for Christmas 2025. Moreover, the resort's 18-hole golf course will also undergo improvements.
In November 2024, Galgorm Collection acquired Roe Valley Resort and the adjacent Galgorm Castle Estate for 28 million pounds. Since then, the company has committed to a multi-million-pound investment program over the next five years to elevate both properties to new heights.
Colin Johnston, managing director of Galgorm Collection, emphasised that Roe Valley Resort’s reputation for “stunning setting, warm hospitality, and exceptional golf and spa experiences” will be built upon with these new features. As he further stated, "Our vision is to elevate Roe Valley Resort as one of Northern Ireland’s most sought-after destinations”.
