The new 8,700 sq ft Primark Home store will be located in Fountain House, just over 100 yards from the retailer’s flagship Bank Buildings store. This dedicated homeware space will feature some of Primark’s most sought-after products, including bedding, towels, ceramics, and small furniture.
With the introduction of Primark Home, changes are also coming to the Bank Buildings store. The retailer plans to expand the kids’ section and relocate menswear to its own designated area on the top floor, creating a more spacious and organised shopping experience.
Fintan Costello, Head of Primark Ireland and Northern Ireland, expressed excitement about the new concept, “This is a big moment for the Primark brand and a big moment for Belfast too as we finally announce the opening date of our first-ever standalone Primark Home store”, noting that “Primark and Belfast have a storied history, and we’re incredibly proud the city will be the first in the world to experience this exciting new retail concept”.
The Belfast home store is expected to bring a fresh shopping experience to local customers, offering an extensive selection of stylish yet affordable home essentials. “In the same way our fashion collections are helping create wardrobes that look and feel great, Primark Home will offer a wider range of quality homeware and lifestyle products to help our customers create stand-out interiors”, Fintan Costello shared.
This marks Primark’s second innovative retail concept in recent months, following the launch of its small-format store in Montijo, Portugal, in November.
