More than 600 athletes from 21 countries will compete in men's, women's, and mixed events during the four-day tournament, which is scheduled for June 26.
It is anticipated that the event, which will take place at the University of Limerick, will significantly improve the Shannon region's economy by €500,000. Limerick City and County Council Príomh-Chomhairleoir.

It is the accomplishment of a long-term objective for the Irish Dodgeball Association, according to Tamas Heitzmann: "Irish dodgeball has long aspired to bring an international tournament to Ireland, and that dream is becoming a reality."

Being the first European Dodgeball Championships to feature both cloth and foam ball types, the competitions mark a significant milestone for the sport.
