The percentage of green job advertisements as a percentage of total job advertisements grew from 2.4% to 4% annually, making it the second-highest share in the UK behind Scotland (5.6%), and higher than the 3.3% average for the UK.

PwC's Green Jobs Barometer supports this. Additionally, it discovered that the number of green jobs posted in Northern Ireland has increased by 25.6% annually, reaching slightly under 2,800. These positions were in the construction (6.9%), mining and quarrying (41%), and electrical (9.2%) industries.

However, this expansion was somewhat countered by slight declines in industries such as manufacturing (down 0.5%), transportation and storage (down 0.4%), and lodging and food services (down 0.3%).

Now in its fourth year, PwC's Green Jobs Barometer monitors changes in the number of green jobs created, jobs lost, employment's carbon intensity, and employee mood across industries and geographical areas.

It is evident that there are prospects for additional expansion, according to Jason Calvert, director and economist at PwC Northern Ireland.

He remarked, "It's encouraging to see that Northern Ireland's green job creation continues to show resilience." It is evident that there are room for expansion in this area; even if the market for green jobs is still limited and requires expansion, there is plenty we can achieve.
