Overnight, temperatures will plummet to between -4°C and 0°C, accompanied by scattered wintry showers in Ulster and northern Connacht.

Widespread frost and icy conditions are expected, with light to moderate easterly or variable winds.

On Thursday, rain, sleet, and snow will clear southward in the morning, giving way to another very cold day. Showers of rain, sleet, and snow will follow, especially across Connacht, Ulster, and western Munster. Daytime highs will remain between 1°C and 4°C.
