Friday’s victory over Belarus at Windsor Park all-but secured the Green and White Army top spot in Group C3 – however Monday night’s tie with Luxembourg was a nail-biter as goals from Isaac Price and Conor Bradley were ruled out by Seid Korac and Gerson Rodrigues. However, the North managed to hold on in an historic campaign.

For the Republic, it was mixed emotions after Thursday’s victory over Finland secured Heimir Hallgrimsson’s men placement in Group B for the next UEFA Nations League campaign – thanks to a header from Evan Ferguson.

However, Sunday’s 5-0 loss to England was a tough watch for Heimir Hallgrimsson – who after the game questioned the commitment of his Ireland team after conceding five goals after Liam Scales’ sending off in the early exchanges in the second half.
