Cycling to ferry terminals at the port will also be safe thanks to the Dublin Port-Tolka Estuary greenway.
The nearly 2.5km bicycle and walking path starts in the East Point Business Park, close to East Wall, and ends at Dublin Port's ferry terminals.
A new Dublin Bay cycle route, which will provide cyclists with safe, segregated, access to ferry terminals and port facilities for the first time, has opened in Dublin Port.

Situated on ground that was formerly used as a city dump and was more recently home to trees and caravan yards, the greenway runs along the edge of the harbour.
Additionally, it provides access to views of Dublin Bay that have never been seen before, including Howth Head, Bull Island, and Clontarf.
This project comprises two parts, and this is the first. The upcoming phase is scheduled to open in 2026 and will connect the port's northernmost point to its easternmost point.
