He is reportedly in discussions with two potential investor groups, which could secure enough funding to keep the club afloat until the end of the season. Although Ainscough had set a 5pm deadline for securing investment, this has now been extended. The club’s debts are estimated to exceed €1 million.
When asked if a deal was imminent, Ainscough responded, “I’ve been close to deals before that didn’t materialize, so we’ll see how it goes. But I’m still fighting to ensure there’s a future for the club.”
