Michael O’Neill's side will face Luxembourg at Windsor Park on today in the opening match in Group C3, before an away fixture against Bulgaria in Plovdiv on Sunday. However, the Northern Ireland manager will be without Brodie Spencer and Jordan Thompson, who have both dropped out of the squad through injury.

For the Republic of Ireland, the Heimir Hallgrimsson era kicks off at the Aviva Stadium against England on Saturday – in one of the biggest games in Irish Football in recent memory. The game kicks off both teams respective Nations League campaigns, as former Republic of Ireland midfielder Lee Carsley takes charge of his first England match as manager, after Gareth Southgate’s departure in the summer.

The Boys in Green will then play Greece at the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday in their second group game, which might be an important match, depending on the outcome of the England game.

Fixtures:

Northern Ireland vs Luxembourg – Today, 7:45pm

Republic of Ireland vs England – Saturday, 5pm

Bulgaria vs Northern Ireland – Sunday, 5pm

Republic of Ireland vs Greece – Tuesday, 7:45pm
