Maxol Hilden in Lisburn and Maxol Fortwilliam Service Station in Belfast will both be closed for many months as they are enlarged and renovated.
Over the next five years, the firm plans to invest £84 million in expanding its network of shops and forecourts. According to the report, the new Fortwilliam shop would have a "much larger range" of food and food-to-go and will be nearly twice as big as the existing one.
Along with adding an indoor lavatory, the number of parking places will also expand from nine to twenty-one.
The facility will remain closed until November, when the completion of the work is scheduled.
The present stores at the back of the property will be removed, and the inside of Maxol Hilden will be rebuilt.
There will be two pump islands on the forecourt with a "more spacious" arrangement, and the number of parking spots will more than treble from seven to 22.
"I am delighted to see the extensive work underway at both Maxol Fortwilliam and Maxol Hilden Service Stations as we continue to deliver on our commitment to invest across our network to provide our customers with the best in convenience and food-to-go concepts," stated Brian Donaldson, CEO of the Maxol Group.
"After these projects are finished, our clients will be able to shop locally for all of their everyday requirements in a contemporary, environmentally friendly setting, with top-notch customer service provided by our knowledgeable licensees at these locations.
"We appreciate your patience while we work on each project, and we look forward to finishing them all in the upcoming months."
