Ryanair, headquartered in Dublin, announced that it transported 20.5 million passengers in August, marking an 8% increase from the 18.9 million it carried in the same month last year.
Hungarian airline Wizz Air reported 6.2 million passengers in August, a slight rise of 1.0% compared to the 6.1 million in August 2023.
Ryanair’s load factor – the proportion of seats filled on its flights – remained steady at 96% in August, unchanged from the previous year.
Meanwhile, Wizz Air’s load factor improved to 95.4% last month, up from 94.1% in August 2023.
