The Olympic Gold medallist won seven events on tour this season, equalling Tiger Woods’ 2007 season, with wins at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, The Players’, The Masters, the RBC Heritage, the Memorial Tournament, the Travelers Championship and the Tour Championship.

For the Irish contingent, Shane Lowry managed to finish tied 9th alongside Rory McIlroy and Hideki Matsuyama at 16-under on his Tour Championship debut, winning $2,000,000 for his efforts – ending the season on a high for the Offaly native.

Rory McIlroy put some good rounds together – but never threatened at the top alongside the likes of Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Sahith Theegala and Scottie Scheffler.
