President Higgins declared before an agogic audience gathered on the Wexford waterfront that the Fleadh is one of the most significant celebrations because it "brings together all the different aspects of Irish culture, singing, instrumental music, dance and storytelling."

Over the course of the event, which will last for a week, organisers anticipate that 500,000 people will come to Wexford.

At the Fleadh, 15,000 singers, dancers, storytellers, and musicians from various areas throughout the nation will compete and perform.'

Wexford Town has a traffic management strategy in place that includes detours, street closures, tourist park and ride routes, and additional public transportation options.

Approximately one thousand volunteers will assist guests in navigating the several sessions, which will feature street corners and pubs with loads of céilí bands and dancing.

Wexford County Council and organisers Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann hope that this year's theme, Fleadh for All, symbolises the inclusive aspect of the festival, where both returning guests and first-timers are welcome to Wexford.
