The next year or so will undoubtedly bring ups and downs in the world of golf, especially with the PIF and the PGA Tour in discussions about a merger deal.

However, for Irish fans – next year will give us fans the opportunity to watch the spectacle of an Open Championship as it returns to Royal Portrush in County Antrim.

The course has held the championship twice in 1951 and 2019 – where Shane Lowry managed to win his maiden major championship on home soil.

The 153rd edition of The Open Championship will be played from the 17th of July to the 20th of July – however, fans can also attend practice rounds from the 13th of July to the 16th of July.
