In order to better satisfy the growing demand for its engineered fastening solutions, the firm is investing €14 million in expansion, which includes the construction of a new facility, a new technology and training centre, testing laboratories, and a customer experience centre.
According to the corporation, the new positions will provide a range of options for local talent, including manufacturing, engineering, training, and more.
The government, via IDA Ireland, is funding the expansion project.
According to PennEngineering Europe President Mary Ann Fleming, the investment shows the company's faith in the area's economic potential and its dedication to boosting the local economy.
"Our on-site manufacturing also continues to expand with the introduction of new products continuing our 85-year history of product innovation in self-clinch fasteners. Supporting training and development of our people and job creation are priorities for us and this expansion is key to this initiative", she said.
Pete George, CEO of PennEngineering, stated today, "Our partnership with Ireland and the IDA is over 20 years old, and their support has been invaluable in fostering the growth and development of our business in Europe."
