Based on the Pure Telecom study, 48% of adults would think about working as social media influencers, and 56% said they thought the pay would be higher than it is currently.
Thirty-two percent stated they want to be influencers because they are drawn to the work, while just under half indicated they want to do it because they are interested in the work.
Approximately 44% of social media users reported that influencers have an effect on their decisions to buy. Of the people who use social media, 45% claimed to post at least once a week, while 12% claimed to post daily.
Paul Connell, CEO of Pure Telecom, made a statement regarding the results. "These figures show that online influencing has become a mainstream career consideration for many as we see an entire generation of digital natives becoming hard-working adults."
