Today, Bauer Media Audio Ireland announced that it has reached a deal to purchase iRadio, the top station for young people in the North East, Midlands, and North West.
With this new expansion, Bauer Media Audio Ireland's weekly radio audience totals close to 1.9 million people. One of Ireland's top young music brands, iRadio is the most-listened-to station in 15 broadcast counties for the 15 to 44 age group.
Bauer Media Audio is the owner of TodayFM, SPIN, and Newstalk.
The company has also made an investment in audioXi, Ireland's largest digital audio advertising exchange and the home of several cutting-edge ad formats.
Chris Doyle, Interim CEO of Bauer Media Audio Ireland, commented on the deal, saying, “iRadio is a high-quality company, and we're looking forward to welcoming it to Bauer. Together, we can make sure that the station can continue to offer the fantastic music, entertainment, and information that its listeners adore.”
“IRadio has developed into the most well-liked radio station in its broadcast area, keeping listeners in its fifteen counties informed and amused”, according to Willie O'Reilly, chairman of iRadio. The board wants to express its gratitude to everyone who has helped make this trip possible. Now that it is a part of Bauer Media Audio, iRadio is prepared to start a new chapter. Its heyday is still to come.
