According to a recent assessment from UK media watchdog Ofcom, Derry Girls was the most viewed TV show in Northern Ireland last year, with the first episode of the last series receiving close to 500,000 viewers on Channel 4.

In its third season, the sitcom, which centres on a group of teens navigating adolescence in Northern Ireland amid the Troubles, averaged more than three million viewers and took home many Baftas, including best-written comedy.

Derry Girls' success made Northern Ireland the only region in the UK where a Channel 4 programme made it into the top 10 most viewed.
