On Grafton Street in the heart of Dublin, the official FAI uniform supplier to both the Irish men's and women's football teams, will launch a new flagship store. The Grafton Buildings at 34 Grafton Street will house the new store for upscale athletic gear company Castore.
One of the world's fastest-growing retail businesses, Castore, located in Manchester and created in 2016 by brothers Phil and Tom Beahon of Liverpool, was estimated to be worth £750 million in 2022. The company's explosive expansion has been supported by sponsorship agreements with several of the biggest football, rugby, and Formula One racing teams in the world, as well as more recent agreements with top tennis, golf, and boxing athletes.
The Irish men's and women's national football teams' new official FAI uniform supplier, Castore, was announced as of March. Five months after the women's team achieved history by qualifying for the 2023 Women's World Cup finals in Australia.
The first store will be situated in a prominent corner space at the intersection of South Anne Street. Over two levels, the 200 square metres (2,150 square feet) of space has more than 55 feet of store frontages. Castore is expected to outbid a number of other international merchants that were vying for the property by agreeing to pay an annual rent of roughly €300,000.
