This makes March the third month in a row that Dublin Airport has seen record numbers. So far in 2023, 6.65 million passengers travelled through the country’s largest airport.
Over the course of Easter weekend, nearly half a million passengers are expected to travel through the airport.
Meanwhile in Cork, March’s passenger numbers represented a 4.6% on March 2019, and a 10.4% on last year. In total, 500,000 thousand passengers have flown through the airport in the year to date.
Kenny Jacobs, CEO of DAA, attributed the prosperous March period to a busy St. Patrick’s Day weekend and the Six Nations.
