Today will remain overcast but dry for most areas. Spells of isolated light rain or drizzle, becoming more frequent along western coasts later this evening. Highest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees in mainly moderate south to southeast winds.


Monday - Night

Outbreaks of patchy rain will continue pushing in from the west tonight, mainly affecting Atlantic coastal counties with drier conditions further east. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees generally, possibly dipping lower in parts of Leinster. Southerly breezes, light to moderate in strength.


Tuesday - Day

Mainly dry for the morning and afternoon with a mix of clouds and some sunny spells. Just a few spells of light rain or drizzle, mainly in the west and northwest. The rain will then turn more persistent in the evening, gradually extending eastwards across the country by tomorrow night. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in light to moderate southerly breezes.


Tuesday - Night

A wet night for all as persistent rain extends eastwards across the country by morning, turning heavy in places. Temperatures not falling below 6 to 9 degrees in mostly moderate southerly winds.


Wednesday - Day

A wet start to Wednesday with widespread rain, heavy in places with localised flooding possible. Sunny spells and scattered showers will develop in the west by early afternoon, gradually extending eastwards across the country by evening as moderate southwesterly winds veer westerly. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees.


Wednesday - Night

A mixed night of cloud and clear spells overnight. Mainly dry as well with just a few light showers. Lowest temperatures generally of 1 to 5 degrees in light to moderate west to northwest winds.


Thursday - Day

Good sunny spells with just a few light isolated showers. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in light to moderate west to northwest breezes.


Thursday - Night

Dry overnight with clear spells. Lowest temperatures of -1 to +3 degrees with frost forming in places. Light winds will also allow some fog to form.


Friday

A dry day with plenty of sunny spells, turning hazy at times. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees with moderate southeasterly winds developing.
