At this event, there will be around 40 companies from sectors such as hospitality, retail, healthcare, transport, and skilled trades, all actively recruiting for open positions. Participating businesses inlcude well-known names like Marriott, Dublin Bus, Penneys, Brown Thomas and Abbvie.

The employers will conduct interviews on site, offering a range of roles suited to various skill levels, and to assist jobseekers, translation services will be available in Ukrainian, Russian, Arabic, Farsi, and several other European languages.

In addition, organisers have introduced a five-point pledge which the present companies must execute, affirming their commitment to hiring refugee jobseekers. Attendees will also receive one to one guidance on creating CVs and cover letters for the Irish job market.

According to UHNR data, Ireland provided refuge to more than 120,000 individuals in 2024, of which 105,000 were Ukrainian, while over 28,500 remain in the asylum process. Per capita, Ireland has welcome of the largest Ukrainian communities in Europe since the war began.

Enda O’Neil, Irish Head of National Office, stated that “access to our labour market is a game-changer of refugee integration and self-reliance”.

“Refugees and asylum seekers bring skills, talents, and qualifications that Irish employers need and they’re ready and eager to work”, he said.

Conor McCarthy, Vice President at Indeed Ireland, stated that securing meaningful employment is one of the most important milestones for a refugee settling in a new country. “Right now in Ireland, employers in many sectors are also struggling to recruit given the tight labour market, and this event provides an opportunity for them to reach an often overlooked talent pool”, he concluded.
