The Belfast School of Art, which was established in 1849, is the second-oldest school of art and the oldest institution of design education on the island of Ireland.
With students and staff actively involved in Belfast's and the world's civic and cultural life, it now has the biggest research-active Art and Design faculty in Ireland.
"I have a very special place in my heart for the Belfast School of Art," stated Dr. Colin Davidson, Chancellor of Ulster University and a world-renowned artist.
