Christy Dignam, the group's main vocalist, passed away last year at the age of 63. The group was founded more than 40 years ago. Lee Tomkins became the band's new frontman earlier this year.

Since then, Aslan has headlined a sold-out Australian tour, played at Electric Picnic, and opened for Coldplay at two of their Croke Park shows. The band said that it has been "such a joy for us" to perform live once more, announcing their 3Olympia gig on March 16.

“We are so excited to announce, we will be playing the 3Olympia on March 16. This will be such a special gig for us,” they wrote.

"We played our first Aslan gig, with Lee on vocals, at the end of March 2024. What a welcome you have given us.

"To see you all back in a live setting is such a joy for us, we will never take for granted the support you all have given us through the good and hard times.”

The group also mentioned that they are now in the studio creating new music.
