Belfast One’s popular inflatable creatures made their much-anticipated return last Friday, after last gracing the city in October 2022.
From October 25 to November 1, these enormous creatures are “taking over” seven of Belfast’s iconic buildings, emerging from windows and rooftops to form an eye-catching display.
On Ann Street, the building housing retailers like EE and Kiehl’s has once again been seized by a massive “kraken.” Its giant tentacles spill from the windows, giving the eerie illusion of a monster lurking within.

Elsewhere, large eyes have been placed in trees at various hospitality locations throughout the city centre for an extra spooky touch, while a giant monster’s mouth greets visitors at the entrance to Victoria Square shopping centre.
Other eerie installations can be found at the Masonic Hall, Cornmarket, 2 Royal Avenue, and CastleCourt.
Belfast One CEO Martina Connolly shared: “We’re thrilled to bring world-class animations to Belfast city centre this Halloween, creating an energetic, family-friendly atmosphere.
“Our Monster Takeover puts Belfast alongside cities like London, Dublin, and Manchester, and we invite everyone to come enjoy the festivities in the heart of the city.”
