The well-known pharmacy will close on October 31 as part of the airport's plans to reorganise Terminal 1's retail section because "an agreement could not be reached that would have kept both parties happy."

In order to make room for a new hallway, the unit that Boots presently occupies will be reduced in size.

"We can confirm that Boots' contract to operate their store in Terminal 1 will expire on October 31," a spokeswoman for Dublin Airport stated.

"We'll shortly start works on a reconfiguration of some of the shops in the

T1 airside area and this will see the unit currently occupied by Boots being made smaller to accommodate a new corridor. We have been engaged with Boots since March about the possibility of keeping the store open beyond the end of its current contract, but an agreement could not be reached that would have kept both parties happy."

"We look forward to announcing details of exciting new changes and additions to the T1 retail offering very soon and we're confident that passengers will like what comes next. The Boots store in T2 at Dublin Airport is unaffected by this change and will remain open."
