In each of its 22 locations in Northern Ireland, the company is employing employees for the food, apparel, and home departments.
For the Christmas season, the firm is employing 11,000 employees around the UK. In M&S shops, seasonal employees put in 103,000 hours last year.
Customer assistance positions are available, and seasonal employees have the opportunity to advance to more senior positions with M&S, according to the company.
It uses Stephanie McCann as an example, who was hired in October of last year for a seasonal position and is currently employed permanently as a team support manager.
"I've always been passionate about giving our customers the best experience, and M&S has given me the opportunity to grow and develop in ways I never imagined," Mrs. McCann stated.
"Our coworkers are at the heart of M&S, especially during the festive season," stated Ryan Lemon, regional manager for M&S in Northern Ireland.
"We're hiring even more staff this year to make sure we have all we need to provide our clients with outstanding service.

This year, a new Marks and Spencer location was opened in County Londonderry. Thirty new jobs were generated at the new site, which is located in Coleraine's Riverside Retail Park
