Launched in May 2021, Score Beo provides GAA fans with real-time updates on scores from inter-county, underage, club, and school games, along with news on fixtures, team line-ups, and competition rankings.

The app has amassed over 190,000 unique users in more than 110 countries.

Deirdre Veldon, Managing Director of The Irish Times, stated, “The acquisition of Score Beo allows us to expand our GAA coverage, delivering live scores and match updates to fans worldwide for the many games played each weekend.”

Fergus Grimes, founder of Score Beo, developed the app as part of his business plan while studying in Galway, launching it shortly after graduating. He remarked, “It’s exciting to finalize this deal. I look forward to continuing our growth, serving Gaelic sports fans globally, and exploring new opportunities.”
