Nesbitt’s Quality Meats, based in Glengormley, received a Highly Commended title in the butcher category at the prestigious Countryside Alliance Awards for Rural Enterprise. The ceremony took place at the House of Lords in London.

The Countryside Alliance Awards, known as the ‘Rural Oscars,’ honour rural businesses, communities, and individuals who make significant contributions to the countryside. These awards span the United Kingdom and highlight those who excel in five categories.

Nesbitt’s Quality Meats earned this recognition after winning the Northern Ireland Rural Enterprise of the Year in the Butcher category earlier this year at Titanic Belfast, setting the stage for their national acclaim.

Celebrating its 17th year, the Countryside Alliance Awards recognize outstanding businesses in rural industries. The butcher category commends those who connect local people with nearby farms, uphold high animal welfare standards, and elevate their communities through quality local produce.
