The weekend before “Swiftonomics” hit Dublin hard, June 27–30, card spending was studied by Bank of Ireland's Spending Pulse, showing a 63 percent increase in adolescent spending (13–17 years old).
Spending increased by 25% among those aged 18 to 25 and by 30% among those aged 26 to 35.
Record stores saw a 19% rise in spending, Spotify streaming saw a 20% increase in expenditure, and beauty spa spending surged by 34% as the “Swifties” prepared for their big night out.
While total social spending in Dublin (bars, restaurants, fast food) increased by 13% over the previous weekend, local analysis of Dublin 1 spending showed a 38% increase over the four days as partygoers flocked to the Eras Tour Official Merchandise Store in the 3Arena.
